Owner Input:
They are unbeatable as the most vesatile gun dog breed in the world, from woodcock, ruffed grouse, pheasants, ducks and geese. The also will track and roust bunnies and retrieve them. The will stand their ground and dispatch nest robbing vermin. ( i.e. feral cats, raccoons, skunks, fox and weasel. The wirehaired coat allows them to handle cover and conditions that most dogs breeds can't. They are loyal to a fault, and clowns around their people. The German wirehaired pointer (drahthaar) is just a fun dog to be around and hunt with.
