How to Submit a Photo to the Gallery

This submission process is in beta testing. Any abuse will mean removal of this method of photo posting (Abuse meaning the posting the photos or text that do not belong here)!

Before you post your photos:

  • Please limit the photo posting to ONE photo per dog. If you have multiple photos, you will need to decide which one to place online (which I know is tough because all of our dogs look great in every photo we take of them!).
  • Please be sure that your photos are in one of these formats: JPG, GIF, PNG.
  • This gallery also accepts mini-movies in these formats: AVI, MPG, MPEG, WMV, MOV. Please keep these movies to 10 seconds or less. (This is experimental so we'll see how it goes in the gallery)
  • Images can be on your hard drive (recommended), disk, CD-ROM or a web page. If you do grab the images off your web page, be sure keep "Set photo captions with original filenames" checked and to email me the text that goes with each image, otherwise, it won't get posted.

When you are ready to post your photos (read to end before trying):

  1. Click HERE go to the Gallery (new window will pop up so you can follow along on this page).

      In the new window with the Gallery:
    • Click on the "[login]" link on the right which will pop-up yet another window. Log-in with:

      You must use the following ID and password. Your Message Board ID and password will not work here. This ID only allows you to submit photos.

        Username:  submit
        Password:  submit

      The login window will disappear after you login.

  2. Click on the "Photo Submissions" link in the gallery.
  3. Now that you are in the "Photo Submissions" album, you can post your photos. Click on the "[add photos]" link on the right. A new window will pop-up with the option to grab the photos from your hard drive (recommended).

      In the new Add Photos window:
    • Selct the "FORM" Tab. Otherwise, if you use the "Applet" tab, you won't be able to attach the required information (Dog name, owner's name, Breed).
    • Click on the "Browse" button to locate the file/path that your photo is located at.
    • Before you click on the "Upload now" button, you must enter in your photo's text. This is located under the file path of each of your photos. Photos without comments will not be posted. You must include the dog owner's or the owner of the image in the comment as well as the album you want me to put it into (ie, Vizsla, Golden, kids, hunting, etc).

    • Now click on the "Upload now" button.
    • After you image appears in the gallery, click on the "Dismiss" button in your pop-up window. This will close the Add Photos window.
  4. You are now done. Click on the "[logout]" button on the right.
