More off season fun to beat the heat.

It’s hot as hades here in texas. This is for you western guys that like to fish. I drove down to the coast for some wade fishing last weekend and leaned on the speckled trout. Limit is 5 trout, only one trophy fish over 25” may be retained.

Nice work ! It has been horrible in Iowa. High heat and Humidity. But hope hopefully it helps incubate those pheasant eggs. :D

Nice. Hope to do some Speckled Trout and Redfish fishing in Florida this weekend. Never caught either, are they pretty good to eat? Which is better in your opinion? I guess Red Snapper season is still open then and may fish for those depending on the wind.
You never have to tell a dog what time to be home, give them the keys, and they never ask for money.

Both are exceptional. I give a slight nod to the trout

Nice to see someone having good fishing. Has sucked around the great Pacific Northwest this year. They're going to close the ocean in the next few days because the Silver Salmon quota will be reached. Columbia River has sporadic openings and closings for salmon and Steelhead. Doesn't really matter if they keep it closed because the fishing is so poor. I have a tank full of gas in the boat and no reason to get out and burn it up. Haven't renewed my slip in Astoria for the season that usually opens on August 1st but is delayed this year till the 14th and then closes early when the fishing gets good. The fall salmon run has been pretty bad the previous three years so this is more of the same. Last year they opened the river on the traditional August 1st and shut it down on the 20th, right before the run starts to build in the river. All I've been thinking about is hunting......

Looks a great time. Been out a few times here in Kansas, walleye and white bass have been decent. My annual trip to Venice, LA was exceptional though. Getting the kid out for her first fish has been a great time.

Awesome job getting the little one out jarbo. Well done! Venice is a heck of a place to be a fisherman.

It most definitely is. Thankful to have friends with a houseboat in Venice Marina, with a 26' World Cat and 24 Hydrasport.

Where do you go along the coast? Fished Port Aransas years ago, was a great time.

Sent you a brief PM jarbo. My fishing buddies would not fish with me if I put it on the web.
