
Then I bought a complete upper receiver assembly, as for my needs there's no reason to build an upper piece by piece. Buying the complete upper assembly saves me about $150 bucks anyway. Here's a pic right before I started putting everything together:

And since I'm a bit of a crayon-eater, I had to utilize youtube, when I ran into a jam where getting the trigger and hammer to set gave me issues:

I put some flip-up iron sights on it that I will keep on there, but I'm looking into a red dot optic with a magnifier for hunting. But after an hour or so, I had the rifle built and even though I launched a detent pin into the kitchen, as well as the buffer spring pin, I was able to find both of them, miraculously:

I've been shooting her quite a bit and have almost 300 rounds through her so far with zero issues. Really like the 300 Blackout, even though it's a bit of a niche caliber.
