My son came in from college for the waterfowl opener. First it was steak and eggs for breakfast on the tailgate.

Then we hunted the flooded timber and buck brush for a two man limit of drake wood ducks. Cricket loves rooting the birds out in the woods.

Sounds wonderful! Nice job picking out the drakes. Has your Son made the ND trip with you yet? Expect he was wishing he was with you instead of hitting the books last couple of weeks ...

Yes Tyler has been up north, but only for a week at a time due to school. Ha, and yes he was wishing he could be there.

Thank you AG. I see it the same. I am fortunate that he seems to enjoy good dogs and the adventure of exploring and spending time in out of the way places as much as I do. He has already been discussing helping him train a puppy of his own when he graduates college. It is a shame the timing with the puppy ANick is trying to place wont work out... would have been a match made in heaven for both.
