New Litter for 2020

Postby Don » Tue Mar 10, 2020 3:32 pm

The new litter of Wirehairs was born Feb 7. After 6 pups, a pup got lodged in the birth canal and a c-section got 7 more out. 2 didn't survive but momma and the rest are doing fine after 4 weeks. Her recover was remarkable and she has fed the litter with only minimal supplimenting from us.
This is a repeat breeding of 2017 NAVHDA Breeders Award litter and 2 of those pups are going to the Invitational this year. I can't wait to see how these pups turn out. They are mobile now and are started on solid gruel. One is headed to NC, one to Northern Ontario so fairly wide spread. Maddy's scar is healed beautifully. I was greatly concerned about the c-section as a friend lost a female after her operation. Lots of training forecast for this summer exposing a new pup and prepping for the Invitational.

Unfortunately I am technically challenged.
The pups are from:
Sharpe's Creek Jester NAVHDA NA & UT Pr1
Vom Woltjen Mademoiselle NAVHDA NA & UT Pr1
They are a nice even litter, I wish I could show a photo.
The bloodline carries Wissower Klinken, Sharpe's Creek, Super V, Vom Woltjen and Ken Vospt. 8 UT Pr1 and 6 VC's in the immediate pedigree. We have had this blood for over 30 years and before we breed a dog, both hunt it and test it. To me it proves not only instinct but trainability.

I looked around NAVHDA on these dogs a while back and as far as NAVHDA goes this is as good as it gets. A proven repeat breeding, where two dogs from different handlers are going to the Invitational. Good luck with the pups and training this summer, looking forward to meeting you and your dogs at the Invitational.
