10th season

Was a weird year for sure, for the first time in almost 35 years, I didn't shoot an upland bird here in Kansas. Thankfully we found some sharptails, huns, and ducks in MT while also filling antelope tags. Late season trip to NE found us some nice prairie chickens.Injury to my wives leg kept me close to home, glad some waterfowl obliged. Few of my favorites from the season.

Been trying to figure out the pictures on here, all I have is my phone so think that is my issue.
He still gets intense and loves the hunt, puppy at heart.

He normally is in his vest, this was a mallard that sailed a long ways. We're hunting a creek that was 8" deep, but snow was 12". Sent him for a long blind after the hunt was over, somehow bird still had enough life to fly a few times and cross the creek twice. The deep snow and creek crossings made for a nice shell of snow and ice, but trust me he was toasty warm.

Kent, I know how blessed I am to follow this dog around, he does a good job of hiding my shortcomings as a trainer.
