Thistles NA

Thistle “CrossIron’s bring it on home” ran her NA test on the weekend and got a 110 prize 1 at 11 months old. She lost a few points for tracking, but I’m blaming the dry conditions, as we’ve done a fair amount of tracking training, but I don’t even care as she found the bird, caught it and brought it back to hand. That was cool to see.

Her pointing was fantastic. Genetics are so cool this was her 3rd time on birds and she rocked it and you could tell the basic training I’ve been putting into her really was shinning through like recall and just hunting with me. I’m very proud of her.

Now to think about the UT and using this hunting season for some steadiness training and just getting her on wild birds.

Congratulations! Enjoy your time together and have fun!
You never have to tell a dog what time to be home, give them the keys, and they never ask for money.

Tough pill to swallow when test conditions affect score. You've got a nice dog and that's all that matters.

That’s the way I’m seeing it. No matter what I know I have a great dog and I know she can track. Test is pretty much a crap shoot anyways. It was good handling experience and I learned a lot from the judges.
