VersatileDogs Photo Gallery

These are pictures of my 3 year old Wachtelhund, Alex, on a pheasant hunt in Ohio. While not known as a pointing breed, Alex does have a knack for holding a point while on the outside of a scent cone. He is an outstanding retreiver, on land and water, tracker and hunts in tandem with my german shorthair as well as independently. He was bred by Gary Goerke (Pike is his sire), and trained by Jeff Lemennes of Cadens Kennels, both from Wisconsin.
