Griffon with heart murmur

Vet today , Griphen Le Griffon diagnosed with a heart murmur . 10 years old
Discussed symptoms, he has none . He seems normal to me . Starting to cool
Off here . Was going to start the pre season warm up . Any body familiar
with this ....thnx

Do you have a vet in your area that can determine the cause of the heart murmur? Depending on the cause, treatment or changes to exercise regimen may or may not be necessary. If it was just a pet, I'd recommend just watching for symptoms. Since your dog will be working, I'd recommend being a bit more aggressive and getting an ultrasound (echocardiography) done.

Basically a murmur tells us something changed, but what it is and what to do is tougher to determine without more testing.

Did the vet give it a grade? If you trust the vet and they weren't too concerned about it, I probably wouldn't be either.

The Doc who is a hunting dog doc , gave it a pretty low grade . Changes ....food ,
And his exercise regimen is reduced because mine has been because of health issues .
Thanks for the Imput , we will see what transpires , I'm looking in to the ECG ....
