I think you have hit the nail on the head. I will ease up on him
I do time my FF sessions , never over 10 minutes.
Bruce, the deer meat is given to him after a blood trail that
he has completed ,and done an excellent Job, it was only 240 yards long with several dog legs,with the wind to his back ,41/2 hours old.
I work my dogs on more than 1 thing at a time, a DD is happiest when they are working-Forrest.

If hes nailing those tracks
...need to age longer or overnight.

With a good nose he could easily be foot tracking you.

I agree with ageing the track , that was last month, I am working towards 48hour track a little at the time, next track will be 8hours old, in heavy game area, DEER & Bear. Forrest
