Bas vom Mountain Creek

Postby Georgia Boy » Sun Nov 15, 2015 3:40 pm

Bas vom Mountain Creek 16 months, getting it done out on the prairie. All in a day's work, pointing and retrieving Prairie Chickens and Sharptail Grouse, to tracking down and killing coyotes. Our dogs are getting the job done. Truly versatile!

That is one serious and yet very calm looking dog. Can you describe the tracking and killing of the coyote? Is that all the dog doing that work?

Andyz, the coyote was flushed and shot at with birdshot while running away. The dog was called up and out on the track. It caught the coyote and dispatched it.

Nice solid dog. I love the 1 on 1 coyote dispatch. How far was the track and how much steam did the bird shot take out of him?
The one I shot with birdshot ran a quarter mile before the dog got on him. It was over when I got there. I love the way you hunt your dogs. We have lots-o-coyotes that need their necks stretched. It makes me wonder if I am going to make it to work tomorrow :D
