Anyone here run with Pearson or Hooper with their DD's on Cougar or Cat ????

Just wondering on the performance ??? and if successful with a versatile dog ?

Don't know the persons in the first question. To the second I had a GWP that treed several bobcats a season on dry ground. All hot tracks. I believe still mouth dogs can be more effective on bobcats than open mouthed dogs if they can get a track they can run. They get up on the cat before it is aware it is being pursued and push it up a tree vs the bobcat otherwise being notorious for circling and dodging in thickets when they can keep constant audio awareness of hounds give full tongue behind them.

One problem you could run into is that most dogs have a pre-set distance they will venture out and then they will check back. I could see this a problem with at least a couple of my hounds. I would think that they could handle a Hot Track pretty easy.
