one of those days. ;-)

So, one of the biggest problems I see with FF is "Urgency" in the dog to get to the object and back. I was asked to demonstrate how to make it an "Urgent" matter. While doing that, my serious demeanor quickly changed to laughter, you will see why.

Ha! Yup, one of those days and yeah the pup seemed pretty eager!

When I FF my older dog I employees the "theory" of restraint as explained by Evan Graham in Smart Fetch. Now admittedly my dog is very high drive to begin with get prey or a dummy in his mouth but I was really amazed at what the idea of restraint did for him too. It only amped up his urgent desire to make that retrieve.

DONT feel sorry for this dog. He knows EXACTLY what is wanted and expected of him. All I have to do is slide my hand under the collar and he is driving. Feel sorry for the dogs who have no direction or owners that have no clue and change the rules mid session. Feel sorry for the dogs stuffed in purses and wear baby cloths.
Now, we start making things more fun. Whatever it takes, treats, high praise, a tussle in the grass, fun bumper........whatever trips his trigger.
