Matz von millerhaus

Postby 30024grand » Tue May 15, 2018 9:13 am

Hello All,

I am doing research into the purchase of my first Drahthaar, first versatile, and first pointer.

I am seeking opinions and experiences on a specific sire Matz von millerhaus as this would be the sire of the littler I am planning to get a male pup out of.
I spoke to William who seems to be a great sincere guy. He thinks the world of Matz and I don't blame him for being proud of his dog.
I was just hoping to get has much info as I can on this dog and what type of sire he is.
Any info would surely be appreciated.

regards

Chris

Matz has consistently produced quality pups from multiple dams. However, the dam who is producing the litter is of at least as much of a factor on the quality of the pups as the sire. Do you know the dam?

Fred Turjan bred the litter, he can probably tell you about it.
If you want to dig deeper...

She's weakly linebred on Karlo Landhagen, who was a strinking beautiful dog. He sired Lord, Luchs, and Pascha Wupperaue. Those dogs were beautiful in their own right and used quite a bit over here. You can see what their progeny is doing over here.

I believe Mike Shell has/ had Mento. You could call him and ask about him.

She's got some Richtof and a little D litter Ochtringer Forest back there as well. Darko and Dux were pretty good producers and are prevalent in the Erthal dogs and over here Elderbach

I can't help you.

If you want a second opinion, call Fred Turjan or Mike Shell. The sire has a lot of dogs from Mike's kennel and he's a breed warden. Fred would have an opinion on how that sire would match with that bitch.

Both are very reputable and long time breeders and know far more than I do.

I judged Matz vom Millerhaus at his VGP in 2015. He was spectacular in performance and looks. Very stable dog willing to handle the task at hand. I’ve seen some of his offspring and saw similar traits. Judging many dogs over the course of a year, most are not memorable. I remember Matz years later.
