French Brit as a waterfowl dog

Anyone ever use a French Brit on waterfowl?

I volunteered at a test and there was a French Brit breeder running a dog.

He said that his dog loved hunting ducks, and did a good job duck hunting.

He said that the big question mark for him was the duck search. The dog did a nice job with the water retrieve, etc...

That said, this gentleman was from Georgia. I don't know if he routinely took the dog duck hunting in November in North Dakota. A Georgia wood duck swamp is a different animal than a late season hunt on the Missouri River.

A friend of mine who lives in OH is getting an EB, and loves to jump shoot goodies in his canoe. He also has a marsh near Port Clinton.
