Did not know Vizslas came in "ugly dog" conformation!

I saw one at the VGP this fall,,,,nice looking dog

That is Rare...it would have to be imported from an FCI country to test in JGHV, no?

They are cool looking dogs. Never seen one in person and don't know how they hunt, but I like 'em.

I ran this by my friend Orhunter and he told me about another "ugly dog" I hadn't heard of, the Slovakian Rough-haired Pointer." Very handsome.

That’s an excellent write up of the breed Craig has done. Love reading that stuff.

A few years back I saw a couple Cesky Fouseks that looked a lot like the SRHP. This was long before I’d heard of the breed.

You might do well to invest in Craig Koshyk's book, there are dozens of pointing breeds profiled, great photos, and information.

I only have one data point with the breed but it was not a great one. Trained, tested and hunted with the dog. Soft dog with a horrible coat. Decent upland bird dog but nothing special, weak in the water and tracking.

no idea where he got it,,,,he tested down here in the Sandhills this fall,,,,passed,,,nice fellow and a nice dog
