Hello again

Postby WiskeyJaR » Mon Aug 21, 2017 9:02 pm

Some of you may remember me, was on here 5-6 years ago, had a Large Munsterlander named Dutchess.
Welp I am back, this time with a Boykin named Sally.
Looking forward to talking with folks again. Yes, I am still using one dog for both fur and feathers, so far been working out good. Sally still has a soft mouth with birds :P)

WJ: Nice to see you again. Glad you're getting some work out of your little brown beast.

"Boo, switching from a Munsterlander." Yea, he should have gone with a Griffon.

I do miss my L.M. Unfortunately, no local litters available at the time. Lil Miss Sally, me little Boykin, has been a great little dog, not an ounce of "give-up" in her body anywhere.

Daeion: Actually, I suggested he get a Boykin. We discussed this in some detail on another website so don't blame him. I'm the guilty party.

hahaha...yea its all Orhunters fault...hahaha  <Thanks again Orhunter>

Lil' Miss Sally is a great dog, I would/will do another Boykin. As a "flusher" vs a "pointer" the hunting style is very different, obliviously. With me limited mobility, she runs close in. With Rabbits and other game, she has been known to circle and "herd" the game towards me. With quail and peasants, she burst them up and then brings them to hand after I shoot. Yes she still has a soft mouth on birds. :)
Most of me pics from her younger years are stuck in the Photobucket mess, when I get that figured out, I'll post more.

If you wanted a real dog, you should have just gone with a Clumber Spaniel.
