I know quite a bit as good friends are heavily involved. We've done events and trained with Mike Moncada and he's a good guy trying to fill a niche. His organization is good but it's had some growing pains.

It was originally started by 3 local breeders as a less involved way to title a dog. More fun for beginners than NSTRA and less expensive than a MH title. I went to the invitational 2 years ago, it was a fiasco because one of the three original guys was one of the most egotistical people I've ever met, and we were kicked off the test grounds when he didn't like how his dogs were judged. He's gone, the second guy left due to not having the time to keep it going. Now Mike is running it solo.

They just added a waterwork portion for versatile dogs. My dogs volunteered to be guinea pigs for a mock run-through. I think it will add a lot to the group. It tests some skills my dogs don't know and I will probably work on getting them UGA titles this summer.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend going to an event. Just be prepared that it's a one man show and not necessarily as smoothly run as the organizations that have been around for years. I've been watching and participating since the beginning. It continues to grow and improve and it's worth checking out.

M thanks for your reply .
I think I understand the process , that UGA has , I.have contacted Mike and made
some suggestions for Alberta . I like the idea of a one time per year
Event ,open to all .
Myself and a couple of birddogers just tried to raise some interest in NAVDHA
In southern Alberta with almost no interest.
One day pheasant shoots have dropped off likely due to the
Economy..
UGA had a bad start here as well in 2012 ....no fault of theirs , bad info
from Locals . Time will tell
