Top 3 training books/dvd/methods

Postby TarHeel » Thu Mar 09, 2017 8:25 pm

What are your top 3 books or DVDs that you have used and would recommend for the first year. I am training my DD puppy and will have a heavy focus on waterfowl. Thanks!

I wish I would have got these earlier. All DVDs. In no particular order;

- Evan Graham Smartwork system
- George Hickox training pointing dogs (complete set)
- Huntsmith Silent Command system

I think for waterfowl the smartwork system would be the ones.

I know you said heavy focus on waterfowl but I really have enjoyed the The Perfect Start / Perfect Finish and just bought his The Perfect Retrieve set.
Thanks
