Mid-North (SD, ND & MN) NSTRA Trials

Postby Dakotazeb » Tue Jan 22, 2013 11:55 am

The Mid-North Region is trying to generate more interest and some new members. We have 4 trials scheduled this spring in Minnesota. Anyone with some interest can go to the following web site and get the schedule.

http://www.midnorthnstra.com/Trials12-13.html

If you have any questions about NSTRA or our trials I would gladly try to answer any and all questions. It's a fun venue and we'd love to see you there.

BTW, the Mid-North Region will be having a booth at this year's Pheasant Fest in Minneapolis.

What's the turnout for these events? I'm in the NAVHDA stuff, but I'd love to check out some other dog games. That first trial isn't far from Fargo. I have no clue what NSTRA is about, but if it's for pointers, it's up my alley

Hi, we'd love to have you come play with us. There are 2 trials scheduled for Donnelly, MN (Apr 6-7 and May 4-5). The ones by Granite Falls wouldn't be that far either and then our last trial of the spring by Oakes, ND.

If you are really interested please shoot me a PM and give me your phone number. I'd be glad to talk to you about NSTRA. I'm relatively new myself as this will be my fourth spring running the trials. It's a very fun venue. More like actual hunting than many other field trials. There is a lot of information on the NSTRA web site at http://www.nstra.org/ but I know it's sometimes just easier to talk to someone about it. So let me know.

GWP, still have any interest in NSTRA. The trial last weekend that was suppose to be held by Donnelly, MN but due to the snow still on the ground we had to move it to some land I manged to find near Gary, SD. We had a very nice trial. Fields were good and the weather cooperated. Elle (my Brittany) and I managed a 2nd and a 3rd place in four runs. There is another trials scheduled for Donnelly on May 4-5, plus the last 2 weekends of April we will have trials by Granite Falls, MN. Hope to see you at one of them.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to swing any, but if something comes together I'll sure try! I officially signed up for the NAVHDA Invitational today, so my meager funds will be siphoned for that. Whatever is left will likely go toward GWPtyler Jr. in September.

Horrible, horrible timing...

I can understand. But if you find yourself with a little extra gas money drive down to the Donnelly trail and watch for part of a day.
