Those of you who hunt in serious snake country, have you settled on boots or chaps, and why?

I wear Turtle Skin Gaiters when I am archery elk hunting in NM in Sept. They are reasonably light and easy to put on.

I have used a low boot and gaiter for a few years now here in the So. Cal mountains and deserts. These were a Cabelas product a few years back but I have not seen them selling them in a few years. I like the low boot because I can wear them for other non-snaky stuff. The gaiters attach to loops on the boot.
