GWP Found - St. Paul MN

Postby Deb » Mon Jun 28, 2010 9:10 pm

For the MN/WI folks - if anyone knows of a lost GWP (or maybe a grif), one is currently in the St. Paul, MN shelter. It was found on Friday morning wandering in the Midway area.

It's an unneutered male, very tall and thin, liver/roan with a white blaze on his head. His coat is a bit long and not much undercoat. He was wearing an electronic collar when found. He does look like he's been wandering for a few days so no one know's how far he may have traveled.

He is nearing the end of his stay there so the owner must contact them soon. There is a party already interested in adopting him so he will go to a good home if the owner doesn't turn up.

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE OWNER --- If you call the shelter and they say they don't have a GWP, ask them about the Wolf Hound and describe the collar that was on him. For some reason they didn't believe the woman that brought him in as to his breed but, I did go in to see the dog and I'm 90% sure he's a GWP, but could of course always be a grif also. He is not a Wolf Hound.
