Wanted: Sportdog Compatible Upland Beeper

Postby exelDD » Tue Oct 25, 2011 9:13 pm

I have a Sportdog 2500 ecollar and I'd like to add a beeper that's compatible with my transmitter.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what type of beeper?

Unless sport dog makes one I doubt you will find one you can control with your transmitter.

I don't know anything about the 2500. But here's a SportDog add on beeper: http://www.gundogsupply.com/sd-ab-uplan ... eeper.html. The website says it's compatible with the 2500, so I think it will work for you. It just slides right onto the same strap that your stim box uses. With this, you have the option to slide it off if you don't want to use a beeper. You should be able to control it from your existing remote if your 2500 has a tone button on the transmitter.

Unlike the tri-tronics beepers, you can't turn the power on and off from the transmitter with this beeper. But you can turn the beep on and off from the transmitter (the beeper stays powered on, but stops beeping). You can also control the "silent mode" from the transmitter, and if you press the tone button the beeper will beep to locate your dog. I use this mode a lot on my SportDog beeper. I leave the beeper on silent most of the time, but I can press the button for a beep if I've lost track of my dog.
