Leashes

I have seen these jager leads and leashes up close and they are nice! Guaranteed for a lifetime. I bought one on the spot. You can even have your name or the kennel name stamped in the leather... Check them out..

Horrible snap for end of a lead when you want to release dog quickly.

IMHO.

I had a jager lead with a snap like it on the en and never had a problem with a release. Guess my dog wasn't pulling on the lead

I use regular leads with those snaps for the girlfriends Scotties. They work fine.

But for a dog with desire???

I make those kind of Leashes here at home. It is really easy to build and you just back braid the leather and rivet it in place. I go to my Buddy at the Saddle Shop and buy a piece of Leather the length that I want and get a snap and a couple of rivets, viola', Leash.

Spend about 4 dollars on it and 20 mins time. You can put what ever kind of Snap on it from the brass type shown to a "gator" locking type. It is up to you and your taste.

Heck, I might just start selling them. We have used that back braiding style for Years on Reins and Headstalls for Our horses. I even made lanyards (sp) for Buddies for their Duck/Goose Calls. Hmmm,,,,now
Ya"ll got me thinkin'!
