Rough Country... New State Residence...Got some Birds

Postby RowdyGSP » Fri Sep 29, 2017 12:21 am

We ended up with 7 chukar and 6 quail over 2 days in God's country. Not for lack of boot and paw leather though... Bird numbers are down but we worked for our birds, hard.

Nice hunt are the quail numbers out by you low as well? Our chukar season is still a few more days away so pictures like these help with the wait.

Photobucket has restricted image hosting probably because it uses so much bandwidth. But if you click on them it’ll take you to photobucket and you can still see the pictures.

Quail numbers in Idaho I would say are down. Although I saw 4 coveys. But coveys only had between 8 and 12 birds. So only harvested a few birds out of each covey.

Weird, when I click it takes me to photobucket, but I get the same speedometer image. Too bad, Rowdy always had great pics.

So I just used the Postimage site that several recommended. I am easily technically challenged and muddled through. You might want to give it a try. Look forward to seeing your photos through the season.

Are you down to one dog at the moment?

Yeah, unfortunately... went from 2 shorthairs and a wirehair down to just 1 shorthair in a matter of months. Lost my DK to bloat and my rescue wirehair to old age. But it's kinda nice with just me and Rowdy. I think he likes it better, although looking at a DD or similar wirehair in the next few years.
