Here in Oregon you have to draw a permit to hunt them and the limit is two for the year. Good early season to get the dog back on track. Two points and the hunt is over. Love the high desert. Time to head father east to the prairie.

They are a fun bird to hunt. I didn't get out to chase them this year, which makes for the first time in 5 years. Looks like a fun hunt, but a hot and tired dog. Thanks for sharing.
