Reflection of Hunts Past

Postby RowdyGSP » Tue Jul 04, 2017 12:52 pm

Yeah, it's the off season. We are all bored and trying to keep ourselves busy with a mix of training dogs and fishing. However, just to break it up a bit, here's a photo reflections of hunts past. These pictures were all taken in Oregon. This next year, most of my pictures will be taken in my new home, up in far Northern Idaho. Looking forward to exploring some new country with my GSP, Rowdy. Will be my first season in 3 seasons with just one dog.

Quite the variety. I'm going through my seasons pictures as well, but a lot more standard fare. Enjoy the new home. I'd like to get out there some time for some hounding on lions.

Chukars are quickly moving up my list of hunts ad well.

I'm not sure about the laws in Idaho, but here in liberal Oregon, the only cats you can run dogs on are bobcats (although I'm sure that will change soon enough). Hopefully Idaho allows it. I know Montana does. And yeah, chukar are very fun (and also extremely frustrating) to hunt.

Looks like a lot of good times and miles covered in those photos. Best of luck with the move to northern ID, I'm betting it won't take long for you and Rowdy to find some birds.

We've got another week of 100+ in the forecast. Definitely has got me reminiscing about past hunts and dreaming about future ones...
