A Silent Love

Postby Grousethunder » Mon Oct 31, 2011 8:35 pm

A poem written by Don Mikkelsen, July 2009. My wife sent this to me when our pudelpointer, Birch, died earlier this month:

When man and dog begin their journey together, a bond soon forms that can't be broken. This bond becomes friendship and then friendship becomes love; the purest love of all.

Unlike other love in the world, this love knows no bitterness, no resentment and no promises unkept. It knows no lying or cheating, no suspicion or doubt. It has no shame or guilt just commitment and trust.

So with all your heart, cherish and respect this unconditional love, for one will never know the fullness of this love until one is gone.
