Our First Litter

Postby karl-kruger » Mon Apr 03, 2017 1:01 pm

We were up last night with our Stonyridge Rainstorm (Tammy). She whelped nine healthy pups. Two females and 7 males.

It was amazing to see her instinct kick in. She's a great mom so far.

Thanks Stonyridge Kennels - John Posthuma for co-breeding this litter.

That is most certainly one of the finest Griff litters in all of N. America for 2017. Hope you find homes worthy of them. Any heading out west?

Wow! Thanks orhunter.

John is expecting two more litters this spring. He is working with the new buyers to sort things out initially. But, yes, I think there are a couple headed west.

Karl:

We have several good males out here but only one, possibly two good females. One is a Stonyridge dog I haven't seen yet but probably will in early June at the Treasure Valley Chapter test. She's in good hands so expecting a lot from her in the future. She's still a little young for breeding. We've got some Des Chien stuff out here, some young and one older male and one breedable female. I think all these dogs are in Idaho. There's nothing in Oregon or Washington I'm aware of.

One of my friends and training partners Klocke has a Stonyridge female and he earned a UT II last Oct. with her. He owns Canadian River Gundogs and has also had one good litter with her and has another one on the way. She has a phenomenal coat and is a great hunter. I believe the litter is fully spoken for, so this is not an advertisement. Congrats on the litter and good luck!

The last picture of them all together. :(

Three of them have yet to be picked up. It's been really fun to meet the families these pups are now a part of.

I just noticed the solid white tail on the one. My first Griff had that. Had a couple offers to buy it. The tail, not the rest of the dog.
