Boykin love.

My little brown dog is about 16 months old. She has really stared to come into her own the past few months. She no longer chews up my wife's shoes and has developed perfect manors inside.

Cool dog. Wish the breed were more popular among duck hunters. Tough to get past Labrador breed blindness.

I agree, especially in the south where the cold temperatures are more manageable. I’d put her head to head with any retriever. She is a lean, mean, athletic, retrieving machine.

Great little dog. There a lot of people that think they don't have enough land/space for a larger retriever/hunting dog. The boykin just might be the ticket for them, especially if they are primarily going to be hunting birds the size of ducks/pheasant or smaller. A larger boykin can probably handle a little goose work, but that is not what they are created for. We are all aware of crackered's pics of his boykins retrieving geese, so he might beg to differ.... :D
