GREAT SCOTT!

Hold the bus!
ALEX VEEEE,
My longtail brethren,
I'm just filling a utility need (and a good reason to get a good Lab),
not to worry, I'm LONGTAIL Hornswaggled for sure, not giving up on my screamers at all.
No sir! Wish I had a dozen more,

Steve, just got a premium from Sue C. for Long Island's first-ever HRC test--so if you got that pup from her, it could be puppy stakes or SR here you come. I put out word that Ham Rowan and I would be there with Boykins--you're too young to remember Mr. Rowan, but he was a prankster with his then-gundog breed of choice. Not the best protocol for an AKC performance event VP to be tramping about with a non-recognized AKC breed, you understand. Bless his heart. And that of one of "your" HRC judges, Mr. Bunting.

Steve, see you were copied on Sue's note about Ham Rowan's passing. Quite noble was Ham and a keystone of the early days of AKC performance events. And loved him them Boykins--Ham's Dixie was the first I ever knew of above the Mason-Dixon Line.

At a recent Field Trial, prior to the event, a day early, Gentlemen Dave Pomfret was showing off a Boykin Spaniel he brought along with his pointing dogs. The dog is being used on the Upland Plantation Dave works, down in Virginia. The dog was quite a PIP, a real sparkplug, he had em quartering a field and knocking up quail, then hupping to the flush. Neat stuff.
Cool dogs. I think you could box up around an even dozen of them in ONE 400 vari-kennel.
