Book Recomendation

I am starting to train for NAVHDA invitatonal and want to train my GSP like you would a retriever. What is the best book for someone to work from for a start to finish program, or dvd set.

Smart series by Evan Graham. Unless you are averse to Force Fetch and Collar Conditioning. Then I would go with Training Your Retriever by James Lamb Free (no video with that one).

For your stated purposes my suggestion would be to get the paper back books, "Retriever Training Drills for Marking", and "Retriever Training Drills for Blind Retrieves", both by James Spencer. They cover the basics very nicely and progress to very advanced work in a stepwise, methodical fashion. They are very reasonably priced and I highly recommend them.

i gotta agree the whole smartworks package is very good info and thorough.
