I wasn't kidding we are talking all around dog here, not just hunting..

jbnewby,

You got drawn in by the hype and testing didn't you? :( Don't worry you will love your dog just the same...I'm sure she will be all you ever wanted in a dog... :D

ME,

No, I did not get sucked in by all the testing hype. My first dog was a drahthaar and she was an outstanding dog. She (in my eyes) could do it all. :D Sense her I have owned a GSP, Viszla, Chessie, and now a Britt. None of those dogs could even come close to the gun dog that my drahthaar was. I finally got smart and went back to the BESTgun dog that I know. IMO the drahthaar is the best versatile dog :!: [/quote]

Since you left the DD world after one. I would think that you saw something lacking in her and you thought you would find it in the other breeds.

Am I wrong here or what?

If she was so good why didn't you get another? :?:

ME,

The reason is that my x-wife didn't like her. She hated the wire coat. So I got rid of the wife and went back to the dog. The things a guy will do sometimes for a woman. Well, it is just wrong.

There was nothing wrong with her it was the X that had the problem. And I fell for her ploys to get a softer coated dog. Thank god I am back on track now!!!
