UT Prize I Gordon Setter

Postby bntsetter » Thu Mar 27, 2003 4:05 pm

Does anyone have any more information concerning this dog (Capt. Rhett Butler)? I heard he ran at the invitational this year but was bitten by another dog before running. Did anyone see any of his field work/water work/tracking? I am thinking getting a pup from a similar breeding and am curious about this dog?

Thanks,
Keith

All I can tell you is that it got a 151 in the invite. I was there but didn't see it run.

Thanks me,
I was hoping that some one would have seen him run as I am looking for a "impartial" opinion. Also thanks for the score that I did not know.

Wow! Man, would I be interested in some of that bloodline! Was the dog from Springset or Intraset lines?

R_man,
I believe he was bred by Bob larsen from Minn. and that his sire was Pal Joey. Also I think he was tested in both NY and Vt for his UT. SO I guess the short answer is that he is more springset then anyting else but not from them.

A friend of mine owns Rhett. I've seen him work a number of times. I think anybody that is looking for a versatile setter would be proud to have him.

Wirehair,
Do you know if Mike is planning on breeding him this spring or fall? How has he recovered from his dog bite?
