Small munsterlanders cold tolerance

Postby jjseman » Sat Jan 02, 2016 6:01 pm

I'm excitedly awaiting the arrival of my first sm from brushdale kennels (they've been great to work with FYI). My question concerns duck hunting in the cold Ohio late season with a small munsterlander. How hardy are they, what temperature can you go down to before you should keep them home? I will give her a neoprene vest to wear.
The reason why I ask is that we were out with my buddy's huge lab 90lbs with a vest, and he was shaking a little bit at 28 degrees that morning. I know labs are supposed to be hardy, but if I was a dog I'd tell you to "keep your ducks and your vest 'cause I'm staying home!"
