Griff Demand

Postby blue04 » Mon Dec 14, 2015 9:12 pm

I noticed there were two different breeders advertising litters of WPGs in this month's NAVHDA mag. One of them was advertised as having VCs for both parents. For some reason, that seems strange to me. I've never owned a Griff, but my impression was that most litters are spoken for long before they are born, and that there are usually waiting lists.

Is this normal, or a sign of changing times?

Can you PM me some details to keep it off the forum.

You are correct, good litters are sold long before they hit the ground. G U N, Griffon Underground Network, doing what it does.

In recent years, supply has greatly increased to try to meet demand. However, litters from proven breeders generally go pretty quick. An ad in VHD doesn't necessarily mean the breeders are having a hard time moving the pups, but maybe are marketing toward NAVHDA homes.

Many variables and possibilities.

marketing toward NAVHDA homes

More and more grif breeders are looking to place in the NAVHDA lifestyle. Some grif breeders have required NA testing forever (AldersEdge, Duck Pond)

supply has greatly increased to try to meet demand

Jay nailed it!

Grifs are now readily available, especially males.

Problem is I can't find a stud dog. :(

Well right under my nose the V dog family offers up a fine specimen. Thanks Griff557!

Grif Man check out Duece in the stud dog classifieds. Sounds like a heck of a grif.

Grizz,

I've been on Duece for awhile now. I was trying to hide him from you and Healy......

I'll have to email you about another one I'm looking at.
