If I've learned one thing in 15 years it's that dogs are built to overcome trauma! Glad your boy is on the mend :D !

Bandages came off today. First time he's put that foot on the ground since this happened. Will have to wear the collar of shame for another week to keep him from licking it raw.

No. Still wants to go jump on the fence and irritate the dog on the other side. Will work on the fence this weekend.

He's recovered really well. He walks/runs without any noticeable limp about 95% of the time. Commonly holds the foot in the air when he's standing, but that is getting a little less frequent.

If this had to happen, I'm glad it happened when it did so he had months for it to heal before hunting season.
