Vaccination schedule for a new pup

Postby figgel » Mon Apr 15, 2013 7:13 pm

With so many threads on the potential risks of vaccines or over-vaccinating dogs, I thought I would just ask:

What schedule is your dog on?

We are bringing home our pup in a couple of weeks (yay) -- what schedule did you put your new puppy on and subsequently what have you followed as an adult?

Thanks!

I give the pups a 5-way at 8 weeks. The pups I am keeping get a 7-way at about 12 weeks. I never give my own dogs any after that.

We give the pups a 5-way at 6 weeks. Pups we keep get additional 5-ways at 10 & 14 weeks. At a year they get a booster and a rabies. Then we generally give a booster every 3 yrs when they get their required rabies.
